Barbara Parker

Barbara holds a degree in Interior Design and brings a depth of professional and community experience to her nonprofit work. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards in Kent County, including Washington College, the local hospital, the animal shelter, the Art League, and most recently The Mainstay, a nonprofit music venue in Rock Hall, Maryland.
Her career includes work in advertising and publishing, as well as entrepreneurship. She founded and operated a greenhouse and nursery business, growing it from a wholesale operation into a successful retail enterprise.
Raised primarily in the Seattle area, Barbara has been a resident of Maryland’s Eastern Shore for more than 40 years and has lived in her current home for over four decades. She is honored to be part of the Parker-Jenick Foundation’s vision and is committed to contributing her experience, perspective, and passion for community service in support of its mission.
