Michael W. Sanders
Co-Chair
Michael W. Sanders serves as Co-Chairperson of the Parker-Jenick Foundation, helping guide the organization’s mission to combat housing insufficiency and promote stable, secure housing as a foundation for health and well-being in our communities.
A longtime resident of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Michael brings extensive local expertise to his leadership role. He has been a full-time REALTOR® since 2015 and with RE/MAX United since 2017, specializing in the Raleigh-Triangle region. Over the years, he has assisted more than 133 clients with home purchases and sales, closing over $48.5 million in volume. His accomplishments include induction into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, multiple 100% Club awards, the RE/MAX Platinum Award for 2025 (recognizing top-tier production in gross commissions), and recognition as one of the Top 100 RE/MAX agents in North Carolina.
Michael’s real estate experience includes move-up buyers, downsizers, new construction, out-of-state relocations, and investment properties across areas such as Wake Forest, Raleigh, Rolesville, Knightdale, Youngsville, Zebulon, Wendell, and Cary. This hands-on knowledge of housing dynamics in one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing regions informs his work at the Foundation, where he values practical solutions to real challenges families face.
Before focusing on real estate, Michael spent 27 years in B2B and B2C sales, building and scaling businesses while honing skills in negotiation, client service, and trust-building that continue to serve him well today.
At the Parker-Jenick Foundation, Michael works with the board to support grants to nonprofits and churches, program-related investments (PRIs) for low-cost financing on housing projects, mission-related investments (MRIs) in affordable housing and community revitalization, and efforts to convene stakeholders, build coalitions, and sponsor initiatives like increasing homeownership and establishing housing trust funds.
He is committed to collaborative approaches that deliver lasting impact, grounded in the belief that secure housing strengthens families and communities. Michael looks forward to advancing this important work with the Parker-Jenick Foundation team in the Triangle area and beyond.
